There is a distinct difference between the energy of growth… and the energy of change. Growth includes change, but the reverse is not always true. Sometimes I hear people talking about their problems… or things going not going right in their lives and they talk about wanting a fresh start… maybe they should just move to a new city… start over. And I always think of this quote: “No matter where you go, there you are.” You can move to a new neighborhood or a whole new city, buy a new place and move your stuff in – over, and…

someone has a ceiling!
So what ever happened with Kim and Scott’s ceiling? Check out the progress – you might not even recognize the place, they’ve been up to SO much since we last checked in on them! the drywall went up here and more ceiling progress here Couldn’t be happier/more excited for them. I think everything is looking spectacular and I love the arched doorway in the entry! They have also started on lots of other awesome creative endeavors, like tiling the entry and transforming their hall closet … it’s making me want my own fixer upper!

Like when I…
Happy New Year!
And we begin again. At least that’s what the calendar says. I kind of love and hate the New Year. I mean, hate is pretty strong but… of course it’s great because it’s a new beginning for everyone, a chance to ‘start over’ with a ‘clean slate’, do things this year differently than last year. But somehow it ends up getting built up so much, and we try to do everything differently all at once, that we set ourselves up for failure… we forget that habits are hard to create, and when we are anything but perfect we stop, and…
