the curse of tunnel vision

I had been wanting these booties all season but they were sold out – frown. So when I saw them available again I stopped everything I was doing and ordered them immediately. Then when they arrived I tried them on and all my certainty about how much I loved them flew out the window. I felt like I looked kind of silly in them… did they even look good on me at all? Maybe I can’t pull this look off, what would I even wear with these shoes? Do they kind of make my caboose look bigger? Maybe I should return…

kitchen – under construction

Happy Friday Eve! After a few initial hurdles and challenges, things are well under way with the kitchen renovation over at Kim & Scott’s kitchen. I wrote in my last post about some not so amazing surprises, like all that plaster and lathe under the gyp board (how quickly some memories fade), so getting things patched up is looking like it’s going to be a little more work that everyone initially thought, but things are coming together – even though it never feels that way when your in mid-construction and can’t use the kitchen! If you want to tune into fun and play energy, go hang out with a four year old for a while. Then we had a little delay on the start date for Kim & Scott’s kitchen project, partly…

the secret to connecting with your biggest dreams

Hello and Happy New Year! I hope your 2015 is off to a spectacular start. Inevitably during this time of year we are looking back at last year, seeing what did and didn’t happen, and looking forward to this year (whether we make resolutions or not) thinking about what we want moving ahead. There’s always a lot of energy around changes (big or small), doing everything you didn’t do or stick with last year… or maybe finally doing things you haven’t been able to do yet for many years… no big deal. At first we are full of inspiration and determination,…
