Where would you live based on your house style?

Happy Friday! This week has been a complete whirlwind. There are still a million decisions to be made for our renovation, but it’s also the busiest season at work so with working around the clock seven days a week I feel like we aren’t really making any real progress at our place, which is a bummer. I know it will all come together, but I do need to find time to finalize counter decision and buy important things like our sink and faucet like ~ stat! But in the meantime I need a break so let’s talk about something fun……

The three things I always do before going on vacation.

You guys! We are going to Barbados {tomorrow ~ eeek!!}! I’m so excited. I never traveled a lot as a kid, or really as an adult until I started life with my manfriend who is a big traveler. It’s definitely growing on me, lol. But before we go anywhere, I take time to make sure everything at home is clean and tidy… I’m a big homebody, and for me there’s nothing worse than coming back home from a great trip to a messy house! And I want to be able to have the vacation, and not be stressing about everything…

My ‘vacation’ & learning how to relax

You guys, I’m in Brasil! I never took trips growing up, and my family never took vacations or traveled outside of a few trips to visit family. So being able to travel has been a big dream of mine for a long time. This year I’ve taken three trips, which is a ton for me. In January I took myself to L.A. solo, {which was also a big deal} and reunited with an old friend, and now magically, my manfriend loves to travel {and has a lot of miles ~ hello free airfare for the lady friend, score!} so we’ve…

Adventures in the Big Apple

Last week I went for a long weekend in New York with my manfriend. It’s been about ten years since I was there last, and I absolutely loved it. I realized just how different I am as as a person from back then, and how different my experience of the city was on this trip. It was as simple as the feelings I had as I walked through the streets, seeing all the different people from all over the world, hearing the sounds of the city, soaking it all in. Here are my favorite things from our trip {and some…

Hey Hey L.A.!

January isn’t even over yet and I’m totally rocking my ‘non’ resolutions. {Watch out 2017!} I spent this past weekend out in L.A. on a ‘just for fun trip’ and it’s been so. great. I was kind of waffling about whether to go or not when I ended up reconnecting with an old friend from my very first adult job after grad school. I haven’t seen her for almost ten years {also, wow, I’m old}. So I pushed through my weird indecision and hesitation and booked it! Plus I still hadn’t officially done anything to celebrate getting my license so what was I waiting for anyway?!…
